Well! It’s Tuesday… I think. And so far the work has been great! Yesterday, we went to VBS… there weren’t any kids though. So it turned into yard work! We also went around the neighborhood to pass out flyers to recruit some VBSers.. but there weren’t any today either so I guess it didn’t work. We went to a Pow Wow last night, it was really amazing!! They did this dance around the fire and drums and singing, then told us stories about the education. So yesterday was pretty great, and we got back around 10:15. It doesn’t even get dark here till about midnight, so it’s really weird and confusing. Today some chaps got sick and couldn’t work. I went out to the work site, it was dirty but fun! We basically worked on the roof, built a huge bonfire, and cleaned out the inside. I did a little bit of everything cos I’m well rounded and productive. But it started to rain, so that interrupted our work and we hung out in the dirty house for a long time. It was good bonding to have 50 kids in such a small space. So now we’re back at base camp, and after me and Alexa styled Danny’s hair into beautiful straight locks (along with several other children- including Andrew Schuster) Now we want food.
